Aaron Burr lived with the stigma of killing his man (Alexander Hamilton) in a duel for the rest of his life. Not, however, that those earlier duels were any more intelligent and Western gunfights. I have yet to fathom what the hell was supposed to be proved by such things; I suspect women are generally too practical to understand the benefit of two men trying to damage one another to prove a point.<br /><br />I'd never heard anything like the duel you described.
