I am Kreativ

Thank you to Sage at WiseHerb's Random Jottings for this Kreative (and very pretty) Blogger award. :)

Now I am supposed to tell you 7 things about myself that you would never suspect.

First, I nominate 7 bloggers who deserve this award more than I do, because they are more creative. Much more.

1. Alison at Beloved-Eleanor, for her Victorian collections.
2. Sheila at A postcard a day, the most Kreativ Kollector I know.
3. Ettarose at Sanity on edge, for Kreativ photos and phun.
4. Janet at Adventures in the 32-Aker Wood, for her acting and for her Kreativ fingers.
5. Angelika at Angelika, for inspiration.
6. Chica at Lady Sarcasm, because nobody makes web pages better.
7. Soubriquet at Grit in the gears, not for his logic, but for his beautiful pottery.

These are all some of the most creative bloggers I know.

Please be sure and stop by Angelika's blog and pick up your MS ribbon. Thanks.
-------
7 things you would never guess about me:

1. I write bad poetry
2. I don't really like country music
3. I am a registered Democrat
4. I have never set foot in Egypt
5. I am not really a little dog (I am a cat person)
6. I once played a Sousaphone in an NFL halftime show
7. I can name all the state capitols

A very special award

I don't know exactly what this was originally for, but I know who it came from and that's all that counts.

Thank you very much, Ettarose. :)

Let's Be Friends

Thank you Stephanie. Stephanie gave me an award that says "Let's Be Friends."  Awwww. :)

"These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to those bloggers who then may choose at least 5 more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."

That means a lot to me that you would give me this award, Stephanie. I am not quite sure you got the right person because I am all about self-aggrandizement, but thank you! Kidding about being after self-aggrandizement. No I'm not.

Although I don't pass awards along, I do appreciate your thought. I don't have anyone I could think of to pass it to anyway that I am not already friends with already. True.

Thanks again. I hope you still think this way at this time next week. :)

Generosity Awards

Thank you to my friend Angelika for passing on the above awards to me. Normally only one award is given, but this is a special GENEROSITY award, and so, in addition to the Generosity Award itself, it comes with four other awards. Here are the rules for the Generosity Award:

1) Show generosity towards others in the blogging community by giving a small gift of appreciation. This can be free advertising, a card in the mail, or anything else your imagination takes you.
2) Send this award to at least five others. If you wish to send the award to more then that, feel free to. Generosity has no limits.
3) Link back to the person who sent you this award.
4) Copy the rules as well as the award into your post.
5) Enjoy yourself and have fun!

Although I do not pass on awards to others, I will gladly show my generosity by displaying advertising for eight other bloggers who have in the past themselves been generous to my blog.
These eight will be:

A., Alison, Chica, Debbie, Ettarose, Janet, Lidian and Sheila.

These ads will be kept on my blog for a full 15 minutes each. Kidding. Say... one week each. And instead of just plastering them all in a big lump (my blog format doesn't really have room to display several ads anyway), I will run one advert for a week prominently in my sidebar, and then another the following week. This gives old Max such a warm feeling that he might just make this a permanent feature in his sidebar. Think of it: an ad on this very blog running for a week, which 4 or 5 people who already know you might see. Ok. It's the thought that counts.
